On November 22nd, 2022, ROSHNI initiated a donation drive to provide nourishment to the individuals residing near All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), located at Sri Aurobindo Marg, Ansari Nagar (East), Delhi-110029. It is essential to note that the beneficiaries of this drive were not exclusively permanent street dwellers but comprised individuals who had traveled from various parts of the nation to AIIMS for medical treatment. Unfortunately, due to the unavailability of beds or the lengthy queue for medical appointments, these patients, along with their families or caregivers, were left without proper accommodation. Consequently, they resorted to seeking temporary shelter on side lanes and underground subways while patiently awaiting their turn for medical care. The success of this initiative was made possible by the generosity of individual donors.
