COVID-19 Relief

During the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, our team at ROSHNI recognized the escalating fears and challenges that came with each passing day. We were fully committed to providing humanitarian relief and support to those in need. The underprivileged section of society, especially rural families and those living in slum areas, were among the worst affected by the lack of basic sanitation facilities and access to essential resources. Witnessing the suffering of these communities, particularly the hungry and malnourished children, motivated us to take immediate action.

With unwavering solidarity and compassion in our hearts, we embarked on a mission to distribute food to the destitute on a daily basis. Thanks to the generous support of Shubh Tradex Private Limited, VridhCare Organization, and with the help of volunteer-generated seed funds, we were able to provide meals to over 4000 individuals. However, our efforts didn’t stop at just food distribution.

Understanding the importance of healthcare during such challenging times, we also ensured that hospitals received the necessary support. Food and health drinks were made available to patients and healthcare workers in prominent medical institutions like Safdarjung, AIIMS, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital, and ESIC Okhla. We aimed to alleviate the burden on the medical staff and contribute to the wellbeing of Covid-19 patients and their attendants.

Our commitment extended to the street dwellers and slum residents, who often faced significant hardships during the pandemic. We provided regular food supplies to ensure they had access to nutritious meals. Moreover, realizing the importance of clean air and breathing support, we installed Oxygen Concentrators in the Girls Hostel. This initiative was made possible due to the generous support and involvement of Kumar Anand, a dedicated member of our organization.

Throughout our relief efforts, our aim was not just to address immediate needs but to provide sustainable support. By collaborating with sponsors, volunteers, and members of the community, we sought to make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by the pandemic. We understood that the effects of Covid-19 were far-reaching and required concerted efforts to ensure the wellbeing of those most vulnerable.
