ROSHNI has celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2022. Women are the primary caretakers of children and elders in every country of the world. International studies demonstrate that when the economy and political organization of a society change, women take the lead in helping the family adjust to new realities and challenges. Importance of women in the society has always been undeniably huge. However, this fact has not always been taken for granted during the history. Unfortunately, in many cases, women are mistreated badly and very often the importance of women in the society is underestimated. Not long time ago, main activities in women’s lives were considered being a good cook, an abiding wife, taking care of the kids and the household. What else? Actually nothing! Women were not even allowed to vote in past century, there were very few female scientists because women’s education was never encouraged. However, the role of a woman in society has significantly changed during recent decades. Social Activist, Shri Subhash Chopra enlightened us with his presence at the Inauguration of our new Skill Training Centre at Israeli Camp, Rang Puri Pahadi, Mahipalpur, near Vasant Kunj. Over 150 girls and women were gathered to participate and get aware of their Constitutional Rights. We also donated Tailoring Machines to the trained girls with the vital support of Shubh Tradex Private Limited.
