ROSHNI organized a SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India, an Autonomous Body of GOI) Support Program at Dakshini Dekhi Nagar Nigam Pratibha Vidyalaya, Tekhand, Ohkla Phase-1, on 29th June 2022. 500 underprivileged female students observed to be sitting regularly on classroom floors with hunched backs, were distributed DESKITS at the above-mentioned MCD School of South Delhi. A short but impactful session on “GOOD TOUCH- BAD TOUCH” was also conducted during the event. The program was attended by top management and senior executives of SIDBI. SIDBI’s DMD, Shri V.S.V. Rao from Lucknow, joined the program virtually and addressed the gathering to motivate the student participants. SIDBI’s Regional Head (New Delhi Region), Smt. Anubha Prasad graced the occasion with their august presence. She appreciated the efforts of ROSHNI for organizing such noble program for the welfare of the society. She also distributed DESKITS to the existing participants. Shri Javed Siddiqui – DGM, and Shri N.K. Solanki – AGM from SIDBI Delhi, also witnessed the program, and entitled with the participants. The program was also graced by Shri Krishna Kumar – renowned actor (Malayalam and Tamil Cinema Industry), and a social worker. Smt. Ekta Kochhar – industrialist and patron of ROSHNI, was also invited in the program. The Education Officer of South Delhi Municipal corporation, Shri Om Prakash Meena, along with the Principal of the school, Smt. Kusum, was delighted with this initiative to improve “Quality of Education” and humbly paid gratitude to SIDBI and ROSHNI, for coming forward for the betterment of disadvantaged girls, under CSR Programme. She looks forward for many such new initiatives by SIDBI and ROSHNI for the welfare of the underprivileged section, in future too. The faces of 500 girls were beaming while receiving DESKITS, concluding that the programme was successfully organized by ROSHNI. The event was also supported by Fresca Juices.
