“Plastic bag is a death bag.” It is a parasite that is causing the downfall of our environment. From humans to marine life, plastic has penetrated our lives and is causing severe harm.
ROSHNI has already been working on the initiative to reduce plastic use by conducting a Say NO to Plastic Campaign and distributing cloth bags as a promoted eco-friendly solution to the problem. On 5th June 2022, the auspicious occasion of World Environment Day, team ROSHNI took out an Awareness March at the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, Sri Aurobindo Marg, Mehrauli, New Delhi. The March was held in the presence of the Medical Superintendent, Doctors, Nurses, 4th Grade Staff, Patients and Visiting Staff. Dr. Pravesh Yadav, Assistance Medical Superintendent, and Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Social Welfare Officer, were also present during the session and enlightened people with their golden words about Plastic and its adverse effects on our globe and on our own health too. Above 100 cloth bags were distributed during the entire session. This wouldn’t have been possible without all the individual seed funds donated by our supporters.
