India census says 70% of India’s population reside in villages, and almost 80% of them are poor. The number of villages in India is between 600,000 – 1,000,000 here the people are more engaged in Primary Occupation.

Rural Development is a process of Improving the Development quality of life and economic well-being of people living in rural areas. India is a country of villages, and its development means the “Evolution of villages.”

According to the 1991 census data, 74.28 % population of our country resides in the countryside. Two-thirds of the population still lives in villages, and the area remains backward due to no longer progress, and the backwardness of the rural sector is a major impediment to the overall progress of the country’s economy.

In India’s total GDP agriculture accounts for 22% and provides a livelihood for 58% of its population.

As an agricultural country, most of the population is involved in the agriculture sector, and the main occupation is farming, but in the production, political mobilization and social organization rural sector is extremely backward and a big part of the population has been leading an uncertain economic life due to employment opportunities this sector.
