Rural Development is a process of Improving under Development quality of life and economic well-being of people living in rural areas. India is a country of villages, and its development means the “Evolution of villages.”

India census says 70% of India’s population reside in villages, almost 80% of them are poor. The number of villages in India is between 600,000 – 1,000,000 here the people are more engaged in Primary Occupation.

According to the 1991 census data, 74.28 % population of our country reside in the countryside. Two-thirds of the population still lives in villages, and the area remains backward due to no longer progress, and the backwardness of the rural sector is a major impediment to the overall progress of the country’s economy.

India’s total GDP agriculture accounts for 22% and provides a livelihood for 58% of its population.

As an agricultural country, most of the population involved in the agriculture sector, and the main occupation is farming, but in the production, political mobilization and social organization rural sector is extremely backward and the big part of the population has been leading an uncertain economic life due to employment opportunities this sector.

Roshni (Sanstha) works in the development of rural areas on the following issues.

  • Development in the area of Education, Rural based Employment – primary activity.
  • Provide offline classes to children at our centers who can’t afford mobiles during the pandemic.
  • Distributed grocery among deprived society.
  • Financial Support to the students of unprivileged families and prepare for competitive exams.
  • Organized various awareness and training programs base on scientific research for farmers and arrange various high yield seeds.

DEVELOPING AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF RURAL AREAS AND COMMUNITIES

The technical developments, awareness, and education in the field of agriculture may increase the production and another gap between the rural poor farmers and societies.

Agriculture is a way of life, a culture, tradition, and economic life of the people of the country, and is characterized by small and marginal farmers.

The Roshni Sanstha is working on this issue organized by various awareness and training programmes base on scientific research for farmers and arrange various high yield seeds.
