The resident of Lakhimpur Kheri district, Savita’s family could not afford her education and she was married off at the age of 17. She had to face domestic violence and financial difficulties at an early age. It was in her village that she came to know about free skills training provided by the Roshni.

Determined to give up, she joined a course provided by the organization. From then it has been a journey of developing, improving, and learning till now. The related product regarding training i.e. tailoring machine provided by Roshni and now she has her own tailoring shop.

Today, she is independent, successful, and an inspiration for many other women and society. Savita started tailoring work and also trained a women’s group with similar backgrounds to hers.
