Nikhil’s story from rag picking to school

Health-and-Hygiene-1 copy

I share a small two-room set house with my mother, father, and 6 other family members in the slum residence of Pehladpur, Delhi. My father works as a laborer on daily wages and my mother has been unable to find any lasting work. Due to my weak financial conditions, I am not able to continue my education properly.

After knowing my parental financial problems Roshni Sanstha decided to help me to continue my education. Currently, I am a student of class VI at V.P. Singh camp, New Delhi. After joining the center my every day was full of hope. I improved my studies and never missed a class. With new friends and extracurricular activities, I learn many things every day. My mother now works to earn for the family and I hope that someday I will be successful and work for all those privileged children.
